Virtually Gone Fishing

My laptop is no longer working. I will not be able to post for awhile... Till I buy a new 'puter... I found myself in the position of being a bad imitation of a Sex and the City episode when my pal, Wendy asked me if I had everything on my computer backed up. The answer was, "Uh, no." I even purchased my laptop from the same exact store that Carrie got hers from in the show, Tek Serve in Chelsea... I went to the Apple Store in Soho and the awesome Apple genuis there, Francis told me that the writer who wrote that particular episode came in and she said that she wrote in the laptop debacle as a warning to those who did not back up stuff that they had better... I guess tv is good for communicating information. If only I had taken heed...

My best friend, writer/actor/dancer/model, Carol Little is in town. She and I were walking around and a cab almost hit me in the knees. I immediately screamed at the top of my lungs, "What the f@!%?" Carol was amused and noted that she had never seen me so angry before.
My response: I think my anger has kept me alive in NY. God, I love this place. Is something wrong with me? I wonder...

I read sweet, talented Janice Erlbaum's book, Girlbomb: A Halfway Homeless Memoir. Stayed up way past my bedtime to finish it 'cause I just couldn't put it down!
It was truly riveting. I would give it 5 out of 5 stars. Check out her supercool blog:
www.girlbomb.com I can safely say that Janice has become one of my favorite writers of all time, which includes folks like Marsha Norman, James Baldwin, and dear friends like
Carol Little, Julia Cho, Richard Loranger, Jonah Winter, Christine Pechera, and a list that is really too long to list! What a wonderful literary world it really is! With beautiful words to
feed our souls!
