Wendy Calling

I had just sent Wendy Ip wendyip.com an e-mail message when someone called and knocked me off the internet.

When I retrieved the voice mail message it was Wendy herself, telling me that she had just noticed that I had sent her an e-mail while she was calling me. Why wasn't I picking up the phone to just speak with her instead of e-mailing? I called her back and explained that I didn't know she was calling because I have dial-up internet service. Her reaction: I didn't know people even used dial-up at all anymore. Well, at least I'm consistent... And after all, is there really anything wrong with being old school?
